Central York Fire Joint Council Committee Meeting
Central York Fire Joint Council Committee met today on a number of items including Central York Fire Services Third Quarter 2023 Financial Update. Presented by Anita Gibson, Senior Financial Analyst, Town of Newmarket.
The committee also highlighted our recent success in Central York Fire Services’ partnership with the Newmarket African Caribbean Canadian Association (NACCA) for its first Career Day. We provided information, and expert resources and created connections for those considering exploring a career in fire services.
The event took place on Saturday, October 21 the full-day information session offers parents, students, or those considering a career shift to fire services an opportunity to meet people in the industry, learn about the various roles in fire services, and discover training options and career paths.
