Spot a Coyote? Learn tips here

It’s coyote mating season
During this time, coyotes are more active and visible. Prevent encounters by removing attractants such as food and garbage. Protect your pets by always keeping them on leash when walking. If you hear coyotes, do not approach them.  

To learn more about coyotes, including how to deal with coyote problems, call the Ministry of Natural Resources office​ at 905-713-7400.  If the coyote poses an immediate threat or danger to public safety, please call 911 to alert York Regional Police.
