Newmarket’s Outdoor Rink & Community Space

About the Project

The Town of Newmarket plans to build a full NHL-size outdoor ice rink and community space at the Ray Twinney Recreation Complex. This new facility will promote safe recreational skating, and serve as a four-season space for community activities.

“Through the success of the Newmarket Ward 6 Whipper Watson Volunteer Community Ice Rink year after year our community showed us overwhelmingly that outdoor ice rinks are very much needed.” Councillor Kelly Broome

At this stage of engagement, the team will be presenting the location on the RTRC site, sharing the size and relationship of the proposed community space with the existing facility, and discussing examples of similar projects. We would like to hear your feedback and ideas.
