Top 2 Need-to-Knows from Council on March 20: Newmarket Council Highlights

Top 2 Need-to-Knows from Council on March 20:

  1.  Newmarket Council continues to advance their commitment to dismantle anti-Black racism by finalizing a work plan with action items that span over the next two years. The deliverables outlined in the plan will help dismantle anti-Black racism and remove barriers that Black individuals face in Newmarket.

  2. Council urges the Province of Ontario to do more to combat homelessness by passing a motion calling on the Province to urgently acknowledge that homelessness in Ontario is a social, economic and health crisis, and commit to ending homelessness.
