Lighting Improvements Coming Soon Meegan Court and McCaffery Road

As part of the enhancement to our walkways and increased safety in your neighborhood, walkway lighting, and street lighting upgrades will be installed. This project will be starting on or around October 23, 2023, and is estimated to be completed in November 2023 (weather dependent). Please see the map on the back of this notice for the location of the work.

This work requires directional drilling under the Meegan Court to McCaffery Road walkway for new walkway lighting, and in front of home 346 on Meegan Court to 354 to repair the streetlight. Approximate locations are shown on the map located on the reverse side of this notice.

The Town of Newmarket’s contractor (Montgomery Industrial Services) will be undertaking this work and will ensure you have access to your driveways and that your walkways are not impeded during this timeframe for their utility works. Please exercise caution when driving and walking in the area during this time. Other methods to repair the streetlight were considered, however, directional drilling is the least disruptive to the neighborhood. All areas will be restored to their original state once the work is completed.
