Council Workshop: Development and the Environment on March 30 at 1 p.m.

The Town is hosting an educational workshop about development and the environment in Newmarket. Tune into this Council Workshop on Tuesday, March 30 at 1 p.m. and streamed live at newmarket.ca/meetings. The Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority will also be presenting at this meeting.

This workshop will inform Council about the natural heritage features around Newmarket, what they are, how they work, and how they are considered when reviewing development applications.

Natural heritage features in Newmarket include wetlands, woodlands, meadows, valley lands, and more.

Stay in the know about the development known as the Shining Hill Estates located in the south end of Ward 6.

In response to an Official Plan Amendment application submitted by Shining Hill Estates Collection Inc., a process has begun to consider the long-term vision for these lands, located in the southwest area of the Town known as 16250, 16356 and 16450 Yonge Street.
