Newmarket Council voted to move ahead with a vaccination policy for Newmarket staff in an effort to continue to protect the health of residents, staff and their families. This policy is in line with other public and private sector organizations and a draft policy will be brought back to the September 13 Committee of the Whole Meeting for review. Council also has asked staff to report back on examining vaccine requirements for the public entering municipal buildings.
Newmarket Council approves its first-ever Urban Design Guidelines that will help ensure Newmarket continues to be a leader in providing attractive, compatible housing options and public spaces for everyone.
Newmarket Council approved a draft policy to continue to permit virtual (electronic) participation at hybrid Council meetings. Newmarket Council has been meeting virtually since April 27, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
