Park improvements coming to George Luesby Park

Clearmeadow & Rannie Road Area

The Town of Newmarket believes that an integral part of our community is the ongoing commitment to provide our residents with beautiful, enjoyable and safe parklands.  

As part of this commitment, the Town has identified an opportunity to provide park improvements at George Luesby Park. These improvements will begin the week of July 8th, 2019 and will take approximately 6-8 weeks to complete.  

George Luesby Park improvements:

 Replacement of play equipment

 Playground surfacing will be engineered wood fiber for accessibility needs

 There will be depressions in the concrete for accessibility into the play areas

 New stainless steel tri-waste units to be installed

 Installation of swing sets

 Replacing existing pathways with wider asphalt

 New park signs (with 911 address)

 Other improvements and enhancements throughout the park

 Please remember that while George Luesby is under service, disruptions may occur. There are alternate parks nearby, available for your enjoyment as follows:

  Seneca Cook - Access off of Clearmedow Blvd.

 Clare Salisbury -Access off of Clearmeadow Blvd.

 Whipper Watson -Access off Clearmeadwon Blvd.
