"That’s a wrap" We bid farewell to colleagues and friends
As movie directors say "that’s a wrap"! This week we say goodbye to members of council, our Mayor Tony Van Bynen after 18 years on council, Ward 2 Councillor Dave Kerwin after 38 years on council and Ward 4 Councillor Tom Hempen after 8 years on council, along with our CAO of over 40 years Bob Shelton. I am very proud of all we have accomplished together this term, these members will be missed and I hope you join me in wishing them well in their retirement.
Our first council meeting will take place on Monday December 3rd as our Inaugural Council Meeting 2018-2022 at Old Town Hall. It can be watched by live stream via a link that will be posted on the home page of the towns website newmarket.ca.
Official election results can be found here...
Newmarket's strong reputation is a result of our engaged residents and wonderful volunteers. It is a pleasure to be a part of a community that comes together to help each other. I am looking forward to continuing to work together building great communities North Summerhill South, Summerhill, and Armitage Village. My goal of this blog, my website kellybroome.ca, my Community Gatherings and events is to create a process by which residents may apply a collective vision and build ongoing communication. Ultimately helping to build a future we can all be proud of.
