MOMS ON THE RUN , 10th annual Charity BBQ
Our MOMS ON THE RUN team are once again the talk of the town with our 10th annual Charity BBQ coming up June 10th 2017. Hosted at the Town of Newmarkets Jim Bond Park located on Jordanray Blvd, where our amazing friends, families, and neighbours come out and support our Mom's in their efforts and instill hope that one day cancer will be history!
Team Mom's on the Run are described as a team of 25 fabulous, energetic, dynamic inspirational and dedicated MOMS that are passionate about Relay for Life. Coming together once a year for a night of fun, friendship, fundraising and to walk last into the night to make a difference!
Relay For Life is an inspirational, non-competitive, late night fundraising event that brings you and your community together to celebrate life and fight cancer. Relay has a festival-like atmosphere that your family, friends and co-workers can enjoy regardless of age or fitness level!
2017 marked the run's 79 anniversary and to date Mom's On the Run have raised well over 100,000 dollars, often top team and received several awards for their efforts. Each of us have our own reason to run, jog or walk for the cure. Team captain Michelle Finlay run's for her Dad...
"I Relay to honour my AMAZING Dad Brad, who passed away almost 12 years ago from bladder cancer. I have dedicated my time, energy and efforts into Relay for Life to keep his wonderful, kind, fun loving, and unforgettable spirit alive. He was so Awesome and the Best Dad ever! My life will never be the same without him but he is with me with every step I take in this fight against cancer." Michelle Finlay
