Public Works Services, Operations Centre Snow Update

Sidewalks

Primary sidewalks were completed twice today with some regional road sidewalks and school zones completed 3 times. Staff will be returning tomorrow morning at 5AM to begin routes again. Primary and secondary locations will be completed by end of day tomorrow.

Parking lots

Priority 1 locations were completed a few times throughout the day today. Staff will be returning tomorrow morning at 5Am to begin their routes again. On call staff will be monitoring the weather and responding accordingly tonight to the facilities in use.

Roads

Plough trucks have been out all day dealing with today’s snowfall. At 10 pm tonight, all trucks will begin a ploughing operation to clear the streets. 
 
Additional squalls are expected throughout the night.
