Cleanup of Goodwill Site Newmarket
Two truckloads of donated items left outside the Goodwill site at Yonge Street and Davis Drive were removed yesterday by the property manager. The remaining items frozen to the ground will be removed this afternoon. The property manager will meet with a fencing company this afternoon to arrange installation of fences at the side of the property. Several no dumping signs have also been posted. The GTA Goodwill office is currently removing store signs in 18 locations, including Newmarket. As mentioned in our council meeting yesterday, Hamilton Goodwill has arranged removal of clean donated clothing inside the building and we are unaware of other local charities who have made similar arrangements.
Communications including tweets, website, Town Page and Newmarket Now and will commence shortly.
By-law enforcement staff will continue to monitor progress on the site until cleanup is completed.
Thank you for your patience on this matter.
