May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month and I am inviting you to join me for the 2nd Annual "Lyme Awareness Walk". Newmarket Community Center Riverwalk Commons 200 Doug Duncan Drive, Newmarket, Ontario L3Y 3Y9 7:00 - 8:30pm.

A good friend of mine Lea Drosos-Calicchia suffers from Lyme Disease. She is an advocate for spreading awareness to help everyone understand what they can do to prevent this from happening to you. One of the things she said that has always stayed with me was...

"It began with a fever, then a horrible cough, sore throat, jaw pain, shin splints, hip pain, lost my short-term memory, difficulty putting words and thoughts together. I couldn't breathe."

Lyme disease is an illness spread through the bite of a black-legged tick—also known as a deer tick—that is infected with the Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria. learn more...https://www.kellybroome.ca/…/30/i7935u7eh0tr1bt3qaz3y1fitfj…

Thank you to Lea Drosos-Calicchia, Shawn Nisbett for planning this event again this year.
